[Micronet] CalAgenda - Next generation presentation

Ist-Comm Departmental
Good afternoon,

As previously announced, IST is moving CalAgenda, the campus personal
calendaring system, to new software in a gradual migration process ending
in October 2010. Bedework, a standards-based, open-source system, will
replace the current Oracle Calendar software.

To discuss the change in detail, IST will host a campus forum:

Date: Thursday, July 22, 2010
Time: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Location: 150 University Hall
Speakers: Mimi Mugler and Paul Fisher, Infrastructure Services

Attendees can expect to learn about the migration process, how mobile
devices will be supported, and the features of the new system that will
allow for greater interoperability with other calendaring systems and a
wider choice of ways to view your calendar. Time has also been set aside
for audience Q & A.

Registration is not required. However, attendees are encouraged to submit
questions in advance to [hidden email].

Regards,
Your colleagues in IST
