[Micronet] CalPact Technology Training Program Updates
The new CalPactschedule effective July 2016 is open for registration. There are several new and exciting changes to both the program itself and the related technology training offerings.
After outreach efforts over the past six months with our learners and technology partners, the CalPact program will be undergoing a strategic and ongoing evolutionary process. Human Resources Talent and Organizational Performance understands the significance of this program, and the benefits staff and collective departments acquire from this no-cost service. Effective July 2016, the following program changes will be implemented in a phased approach.
Courses will no longer be full day or multi-day durations. They will typically run between two to three hours in the mornings and afternoons, and will focus on specific sets of relevant and related learning outcomes. This eliminates longer, more generalized offerings allowing learners to structure their own distinct learning paths.
Schedules will no longer be separate six-month sets of static offerings. As new courses are created or as existing waitlisted sections reach capacity, the schedule will adaptively expand.
Courses will be developed and facilitated directly by Berkeley Human Resources instructors rather than third-party vendors. This allows content to be specifically tailored to the needs of the campus community; introducing new degrees of relevance, adaptability, and direct application of knowledge.
The CalPact home page will be undergoing content updates over the next few months to reflect these and upcoming program changes.
