[Micronet] Cinema display alternative

Bruce Satow
Although I have never used one, Monoprice has this 27" IPS 2560x1440 monitor

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?p_id=10489&seq=1&format=2

Customer reviews are mixed, but it seems that Monoprice is very customer service oriented.  Overall score is 4 out of 5 stars.

Re: [Micronet] Cinema display alternative

Baril
To all,

Here is my opinion on this (take it or leave it):

So, the Monoprice monitor is great if all you need is a thunderbolt based 27" monitor to hook up to a thunderbolt based computer. But, if you need true docking ability (USB, Ethernet, Power, Thunderbolt) AND a great 27" monitor, then the Apple monitor is still the only one out there. The Monoprice monitor is only a monitor and that is why the Apple version (albeit still too expensive) is so expensive.

Nuff said by me,

Cheers,

Roy
