[Micronet] Database Storage and Backup Rate Reduction

Ist-Comm Departmental
Good afternoon,

IST Enterprise Data

Effective August 1, 2014, IST is reducing the rate for Database Storage and Backup from $8 per month to $4.75 per month. Customers will see the savings reflected in their September billing. Storage and Backup Services provides disk storage, archive, and recovery services as follows:

Storage Area Network Services

Storage Area Network (SAN) services provide centralized, highly-available, highly-scalable data storage for server systems located in the IST Data Center. With more than 4 Petabytes (PB) of raw capacity, and growing continuously, the SAN supports everything from high-performance mainframe and open-systems databases through application and file servers to near-line mass storage for imaging and other data repositories.

UCBackup

UCBackup provides centralized backup and recovery services for servers and desktops on the UCB campus network as well as servers at the San Diego Super Computing Center (SDSC).
