Subject: 2012 IDMG Summer School - Your Input Counts!
I am writing because I want your input for the 2012 Institutional Data Management & Governance (IDMG) Summer School.
Two years ago, we collaborated with several staff organizations – Business Process Analysis Working Group (BPAWG), Cal Assessment Network (CAN), Center for Organizational and Workforce Effectiveness (COrWE) and Policy Analysts Roundtable – to host the 2010 IDMG Summer School. This wildly popular eight session series provided a platform for our staff to share tips and techniques on how to present information better. It was a wonderful opportunity to see some amazing work being done on campus and what we can accomplish as a group when we come together. This year, we are expanding our collaborative partners to include the OE Program Office and hope to make the 2012 IDMG Summer School even better.
One of our greatest campus assets is our staff and this IDMG Summer School is just one way we hope to invest in you. The IDMG Summer School also provides me an opportunity to continue to move the campus down our IDMG roadmap (http://idmg.berkeley.edu/). Now more than ever, it is important to inform our decision making process with good data...and data that looks good. We’re building a culture of evidence on the campus and we need your help. And if this year’s summer school is anything like the last, it will be a very enjoyable way to spend the summer.
To make the 2012 IDMG Summer School useful to you, we would like you to complete a brief survey
(http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2012IDMGSummerSchool) about topics to cover. The survey will close on Friday, May 4th so please send us your input and pass it on to others who may be interested as well.
Thanks in advance for you input and hope to see you in class!
