[Micronet] Fwd: Software Carpentry Python Bootcamp - Monday, March 17 & Tuesday, March 18, 2014, Brower Center

Dav Clark
Dear all,

I wanted to alert you to this training opportunity. It's currently open to the campus community, and will open more broadly on the 24th. It's really about sound scientific computing, but is taught in python.

Best,
Dav

The Berkeley Institute for Data Science is pleased to announce a coordinated Software Carpentry Python Bootcamp as part of our 5-year partnership with UW, NYU, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The bootcamp will have beginner and intermediate tracks in an example-driven, hands-on, two-day workshop on basic scientific computing skills. Participants are encouraged both to help one another, and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems during and between sessions.

The event will be held Monday March 17/Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Brower Center.
