[Micronet] IDL data analysis programming language

jon kuroda-2
I have a researcher in need of an IDL environment (compiler, etc) to
run some code from a collaborator.  He could use one of the open-source
"compatible" clones (think GNU Octave vs MATLAB), but at the very least
would need to verify correctness against the commercial IDL suite (all
while trying to figure out if/how to buy a license)

IDL is commonly used in Astronomy/Earth Sciences/Physics/Medical Imaging
but I no longer know anybody in those departments to contact directly,
and maybe someone in some other department has access to the tools.[0]

Any help appreciated --Jon
