[Micronet] Reminder: Summer School Session #7: Framing Your Message - panel discussion

James Kent Dudek
Dear Colleagues,

Hope to see you at the penultimate summer school session of 2010!

Best,

James

--
Greetings..

The next Policy Analysts Roundtable will once again be part of the
IDMG-sponsored Summer Series - Turning Data into Information - Tools, Tips,
and Training. It will take place on Tuesday, August 10, from 10am-11:30 in
60 Barrows.

A live web-stream can be accessed at
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bpawg-at-berkeley

The Summer Series webpage, http://idmg.berkeley.edu/summerseries.htm has
descriptions of all sessions, links to handouts and the archived streams of
previous sessions.

The August 10 session is:

** Framing Your Message - Panel Discussion on Creating Handouts and
Presentation Materials. **

So you've prepared and analyzed your data, and made the coolest infographics
and amazing super-graphics. Now what? Well, it's time to craft your message.
Whether you are speaking to campus or external groups or to the press, you
need to frame your findings in a way that does justice to the analysis and
helps people to understand your points. Janet Gilmore from Media Relations,
Kim LaPean from Health Services and Christine Shaff from Facilities Services
are highly-regarded communication specialists on campus. They will join us
to help discuss strategies, tools and techniques for delivering your
message.
---------------

Summer Series commemorative coffee mugs will be available for people
attending the session (not to bribe you or anything).

See you there!

Cheers,

-Greg
