The Business Process Analysis Working Group (BPAWG) Presents:

“How to Make a High Level Map and Use Pain Points to Focus Process Improvement”
  (description below)
Thursday, May 27, 2010
3:00 - 4:30pm
Tang Center, Section Club Room

Portions of this session will be streamed and archived at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bpawg-at-berkeley

Presenters:

Shelley Sweet, Business Process Improvement Action Learning Instructor, I-4 Process Consulting

Description:

Are you making changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in your school, college or department? This BPAWG session will help you take a systemic look at some of your troublesome work processes and learn a structured approach to problem identification, which is the first step in making things better. Come with a few colleagues from your department and a current work process to analyze. The session will demonstrate how to build a high-level map and identify pain points. Then you will build your own map, identify pain points, and begin to analyze them. You’ll leave with a good first step toward making improvements.

****Our Mission and Purpose**

how these disciplines intersect, interact and add value to each other.
BPAWG meetings offer demonstrations, discussions and opportunities to
meet with experts and colleagues working in these areas:

*Project Management

*Systems Analysis and Design

*Usability Testing

*User and Task Analysis

*Interviewing Techniques

*Computer-Aided Analysis Tools
