[Micronet] UC Library IT goes live with ServiceNow and CSS IT Tier 1 support

Cssit Departmental

Good afternoon,

On Thursday, February 19, 2015, University Libraries IT became the latest campus partner to adopt the CSS IT ServiceNow platform for incident management. The migration to ServiceNow will allow the library to be an integral member of the CSS-IT service environment and will facilitate collaboration with CSS-IT as well as other campus IT units. According to Paul Payne, head of Library Computer Infrastructure Services (LCIS), “As the Library learns more and more about ServiceNow, we are sure that it will prove to be an effective tool and an improvement over our previous ticketing system.

As part of the Library’s collaboration, they have also transferred their Tier 1 support to CSS IT. This transition required months of planning from dedicated staff on both teams. The Library and CSS IT are excited about having developed this shared service model for IT support.

The ServiceNow team
