[Micronet] Welcome New Data Security Review Members

Ryan L. Means
Good morning,

I'd like you all to welcome Catherine Madsen, Michael Quan, and Matt
Wolf to the Data Security Review (DSR) team! We had a large number of
qualified applicants for the internships, and I encourage anyone who
applied and was not selected for the first round to apply again when we
make another call for participants early next year.

The program is committed to providing DSR internships to as many IT
staff as possible, giving them hands-on experience reviewing a wide
variety of systems in campus units of all shapes and sizes.

If you want to join us next year, now is a good time to expand your
security knowledge by tackling a security project within your unit,
practicing with tools such as AppScan and Nessus, and learning about
threats to web applications and how to defend against them.

If you have any questions, want us to point you to some resources, or
suggest any local security projects you could tackle, please let me know.

Thanks,
Ryan
