[Micronet] adobe suite on mac

Lucy Greco
Hello:

I had a student come in the other day who needed to put the Adobe Suite on
her MacBook Air. After three hours of frustration, she gave up. She reported
back to me that one of the students who tried to help her said that nobody
was able to install it. Any validity to this claim? Has anybody successfully
installed on a Mac Air? My speculation is that the drive is too small.

I haven't installed it on an Air, but did so with no problem on my MacBook Pro.  So, the mac installer does work.

Does her system meet the minimum requirements (Processor, OS version, RAM, free space on the drive) listed at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/mastercollection/tech-specs.html ?

In particular, it says that you need at least 26.3GB of free disk space to install.  I'd imagine that could be reduced if she chose which programs to install somewhat selectively...

Hope this helps,

Ian

The Adobe Suite will not install on a Mac with OS X installed with a
case-sensitive
file system. This is a long-standing bug with Adobe. Assume they won't fix it
anytime soon. You may have to re-install OS X with a case-insensitive FS.

Best,
Ray
